I am also an experienced Network Systems Manager using primarily Cisco products.I am also a deeply experienced webmaster, understanding all phases and angles of managing a website.I graduated from Capella University where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, a Master's of Science in Psychology specializing in Applied Behavior Analysis, and a Ph.D. Candidate in Industrial/Organizational Psychology with a specialization in Human-Computer Interaction.

I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Special Education and a Master's of Science in Educational Leadership. Currently, I work as a high school Special Education teacher; however, I have experience with students grades Kindergarten through 12, ranging from gifted learners to severely disabled. My interest in educating students dates back to my years in high school, when all I wanted to do is work with my peers in assisting them with their studies. Throughout my high school career, I was involved in multiple opportunities that allowed for me to foster my skills as I was part of the Drama club, School Leadership committee, Music Scholars as well as an graduate of the Inroads Business Program. It seemed only logical that I pursue a career in education, as my background was so eclectic.When I began my undergraduate career, I had the opportunity to be exposed to the full range of education courses, all of which tended to reinforce and solidify my intense interest in teaching. I've also had the opportunity to study a number of subjects in the social sciences and they have been both enjoyable and enlightening, providing me with a new and different perspective on the world in which we live.In the realm of education, I have plethora of experiences. My career began by receiving my BA in education. I taught Elementary Education with my focus in early literacy, comprehension and fluency. A few years later, I began my Masters in Counseling. I worked successfully as an elementary counselor until I received my Ed. Specialist in Leadership and Superintendency. I have been in a leadership role for 9 years. Four of the nine years were at the High School Level, which was a tremendously great experience. Of course, my plans to enter a doctoral program are near.I have developed a special interest in the field of education and school leadership and have even been tasked with taking on a building of over 700 students and 70 staff this coming school year. I have been effective at building solid student, teacher and parent relationships. I have met the challenge of holding teachers accountable for their students learning in turn being a part of student growth and success. I can identify, teach, and coach the Common Core standards for elementary students as well as transfer my knowledge of effective research based strategies to meet the college and career standards.

I am a graduate of the University of South Florida with a bachelors degree in Elementary Education. I have been a classroom teacher since 2010, however I discovered many years ago that I have a passion for tutoring students, working one on one to determine their obstacles for learning and then help them discover what strategies work best for them to overcome their challenges and build their self confidence. Although I have tutored students in grades K-7, and a few adults to take the TABE assessment, I especially like working with the younger age levels to help them achieve a strong foundation of skills to build upon.
