I am a dedicated educator with a Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Mathematics and a Level 3 New Mexico License. With over 15 years of teaching experience, including 10 years as High School Teacher in the Philippines and 5 years as a Middle School Math Teacher here in New Mexico, I bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to my tutoring sessions.
As a School Coordinator for After School Tutoring program and a District Blended Learning Influencer, I have honed my skills in providing tailored support to students who are struggling with math basic skills. My passion lies in helping these students overcome their challenges and develop a deeper understanding of mathematical concepts.
In addition to my teaching responsibilities, I have also served as a mentor for new teachers in our school district. This experience has allowed me to further refine my instructional techniques and cultivate a supportive learning environment for both students and educators alike.
I am particularly proud of my work as a Reading Apprenticeship practitioner, where I have helped students apply their reading skills to understand real-world math problems more effectively. By integrating literacy strategies into my math instruction, I empower students to become confident problem solvers in any context.
