I graduated from West Virginia University with a bachelor's of arts in Elementary Education and a minor in Law and Legal Studies. I worked as a kindergarten teacher for the past three years. I am Orton Gillingham trained, a science of reading program. Teaching students important reading skills is my passion and use this program in my tutoring. I am most passionate in early elementary core subjects. My teaching philosophy is that all students deserve an equitable opportunity to learn academically and socially. Education is such a valuable piece of life and I try to embed that in my teaching as much as possible. In my free time I enjoy reading, spending time with my friends and family, journaling and cooking.
