I am a certified teacher of 22 years with a master's degree in education from the University of Cincinnati. Over the course of my career, I taught English language arts, math, reading, social studies, and science but to be honest, I enjoy teaching math and English Language Arts the most. In addition to teaching, I was also a high school assistant principal as well as a high school principal. Before becoming a teacher, I served in the United States Marine Corp and travelled all over the world. As you can imagine, I have tons of experiences and stories to share. As an educator, I believe that all students are capable of learning no matter who you are, where you come from, or what your background is. My tutoring style involves using differentiated instruction, activating prior knowledge, hands-on activities, engaging lessons, active learning, graphic organizers, and several reading strategies. During my free time, I love going to the gym, listening to music, and watching football as well as basketball. My favorite teams are the Pittsburgh Steelers, Ohio State Buckeyes, and the Miami Heat.
