I come from a family of teachers and enjoyed a 28 year career as a high school teacher. I loved the flexibility and independence that being a Resource special educator allowed me. As such, I was able to provide individualized instruction in a variety of subjects, including some areas of science, English, reading, social studies, health, and adult living. I retired in 2018.

I have a BS in English and education and a Masters degree in Special Education. I was certified in special ed, grades k-12 and in English and Journalism for grades 7-12.

I have edited high school and college newspapers, worked for small town newspapers (briefly) and published a newsletter for a Sierra Club Group in Illinois using Salesforce platform.
