Hello! I love teaching adults new languages and have learned several languages myself.

I completed a Bachelor of Arts at a university in Nova Scotia where I did a double major in French and English. I was also the president of the University's English Society for 1 year and I loved sharing my passion with others!

My adult language teaching journey began when I taught English in Japan after graduating from university. Being fully immersed in a new culture had its challenges but it was an incredible experience and it helped me to understand how teaching adults is very different from teaching children. When I returned to Nova Scotia I did private French tutoring and also volunteered with my local library with their English Adult Language Learning tutoring where I was paired with a newly immigrated family from Iran. I eventually moved to Montreal to start my career as a flight attendant. While living in Montreal I gained a more profound knowledge of the French language and improved my own speaking ability at the same time. In Montreal I met my husband, who is francophone, and now we have a son with whom we only speak French at home.

While in Montreal I worked for a company that had contracts with various government agencies teaching English for the SLE exams. I enjoyed working with members of the DND, Canada Research Counsel and Parks Canada.

With my extensive life experience in tutoring and learning, I understand the challenges and can't wait to help you achieve your language goals!
