About Me

My name is Kateryna Patskovska, CPB, AAPC Approved Instructor. I originally started in healthcare back in 2007, reviewing prior authorization requests for PT/OT. Since 2015, I worked with various physicians in several different specialties (ex. orthopedics, general surgery, allergy/Asthma, ENT, etc) Although, I was involved in medical billing and coding since Jan of 2015, I officially received my CPB certificate in 2019 and my AAPC Approved Instructor Certificate in 2021. Sometimes, I present for AAPC local Chapters or AMBA; as well as sometimes publishing articles for AAPC HBM Magazine (ex. Genetic Testing Trends). My favorite part of medical billing and coding is denial management. I love to research, contacting payers and file successful appeals. There is a misconception that when you are a medical biller you do not work with codes or do coding. That is just NOT true! Medical Billing and Coding go hand in hand with each other.
