With a degree in Theatre and Playwriting from Reed College, I have a passion for the written word from beginning to endwhether it's writing a script, reading a book, or seeing the final project up on stage. When I was young, I loved reading but hated to write. Eventually I had teachers who showed me the power of what writing can do, and it changed my life. I'd like to be that person for my students.

I tutor in many different disciplines, largely around English, as well as music on guitar and piano. I take a personal, holistic, and Socratic-based approach to learning, encouraging students to ask questions and try multiple solutions.
