Hello! My name is Michael and I tutor economics, statistics, and calculus. I enjoy tutoring these subjects because I believe they help us make better personal financial decisions, be better informed voting citizens, and achieve our career goals.

I can also help you with Stata, which tends to be the software of choice in social science. I can help you with MATLAB if what you need to do is matrix/linear algebra or to reshape or reorder data, but probably not if its an engineering related problem since I have no background there.
I completed my bachelor's degree with a statistics minor at Macalester College and a PhD in economics from Georgia State University. I'm tutoring in the mean time while I search for a career as an assistant professor of economics.
I've been asked in the past if I'll help you on an exam. No, that's cheating! I'll help you prepare for an exam, but at the day and hour of the exam you must face that dragon yourself to become a knight. Otherwise, it would be unfair to the students that worked hard to excel without cheating and set yourself up for failure when you might need to use what you were supposed to learn for class in your job. Most students are great and don't even ask me to do something like this, but if you are tempted to do so you'll just get a no and disappoint me.
