I have been a Secondary Science teacher in a Public School setting for 23 years, teaching a wide variety of science courses, including middle school life, earth, and physical science. Most of my experience is from teaching high school Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Microbiology, and Anatomy & Physiology. I am passionate about helping students understand scientific concepts. I have dedicated much time preparing students for the STAAR 8th grade Science test and STAAR EOC Biology test. Although the STAAR test is unique to Texas, I can help students learn and recall scientific concepts regardless of geographical location. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction using Technology. I am passionate about helping students learn by using up-to-date and relevant topics broken into easily assimilated chunks of information. Additionally, I offer students hints, tricks, or tips to help students retain what they have learned.
