About Me

I received a PhD in English with a creative dissertation in May of last year from SUNY Binghamton. A "creative dissertation" in my case was a poetry collection, a book that was many years in the making. In terms of my experience as a teacher, I've been working in education for ten years. I've worked with middle school students to college students in their fifties. I enjoy helping individuals becoming effective writers, readers, and thinkers. I believe reading and writing can help provide maps to navigate life. These tools are not just useful for school; they are crucial in being a human. I look forward to working with students to assist them in meeting their goals.
