Currently I am toying with the idea of going back to school and getting a Master's in Human Physiology and then going on to get my PhD and then become a professor at a University, OR working in the medical field for a while and then applying for Physician Assistant school. I find passion in tutoring beyond simply teaching a concept. Watching someone accomplish a goal that you have helped them achieve is truly priceless. While overall comprehension is certainly important, I strive to teach others how to overcome problems using their existing knowledge. I am currently a lead preschool teacher. I received my Bachelor's in Psychology from VCU and am looking to return to school to further my education. While in college, I worked as a Supplemental Instruction leader, teaching general biology and anatomy. I have also worked in an after school program with elementary age children, but I have my fondest memories volunteering as a counselor for Camp Kesem. In my own experience, I loved school and now I love teaching even more at all age levels! I especially enjoy the challenge of getting creative to discover what approach and mediums work best for each student. I am available for in person as well as online tutoring.

I am a Doctorate student at Logan College of Chiropractic where I am also pursuing my Master's in Sport Rehabilitation. I hold two B.S. degrees in Exercise Science and Life Science. I took a year off from medical school between my third and fourth year to get a masters degree in education focusing on medical education but also learning a tremendous amount about K-12 education as well.While I plan on being a physician in the future, I know that education will play a major role in my career whether it's educating patients, medical students, or residentsHaving gone through the rigors of the college and medical school application process (including taking the required standardized tests), I'm very familiar with both the content and the test taking process. For the last two years I've served as a teaching assistant to the first year medical students in the Gross Anatomy course. During my time at Bryn Mawr I tutored students who were struggling in the basic sciences (physics, biology, chemistry and organic chemistry).I've also spent a great deal of time working with children of all ages. From my time spent as a canoeing instructor for 9-14 year old boys in Belgrade Lakes, ME to my medical school pediatrics rotations, I'm very comfortable working with people of any age (newborn through adulthood).I'm a big baseball fan, and also love being outdoors, (whether its going on a backpacking trip for a week or just a short run). During my time there I tutored many students, aged middle school to college, in subjects including SAT and ACT prep, Algebra, Calculus, Biology, and Chemistry. I then worked in a neuro-psychiatry laboratory before starting medical school in Kansas City. Throughout my lengthy education I have taken several courses on each of the subject that I tutor and have taken quite a few standardized exams. This has allowed me not only to master the information, but also to experience a variety of teaching styles.
