I hold a MsC in Biotechnology specializing in Regulatory Affairs from the University of Maryland Global Campus and my BSc in Biochemistry from the University of Maryland. I also have experience working in drug and biologic development research mostly focused on infectious diseases. In addition to this, I have tutored K-12 and college level students for 4 years. I tutor all K-12 subjects and specialize in STEM courses such as introductory biology, general chemistry I and II, microbiology, advanced microbiology, organic chemistry I and II, inorganic chemistry, and biochemistry. I also tutor math courses including but not limited to pre-algebra, algebra I and II, trigonometry, geometry, and calculus I and II. My favorite subjects to tutor are algebra and introductory chemistry.
I love engaging student minds and helping them bridge the gap between learning content. My personal teaching style is highly assessment based and tailored to fit needs of each student. My teaching philosophy is that each student learns differently and should be taught in a way that best suits them.
I'm a huge science and nutrition nerd, but I also love traveling and making art in the form of painting and drawing. My family is originally from the Caribbean and my favorite place to be is anywhere near water or on a beach. I am excited to meet and work with you!
