I graduated from Wingate University with a Master's in Arts for Teaching. My teaching license is for students K-6. In order to attain my license I needed to pass three difficult Pearson tests in Reading, Math and a test on mixed subjects (Science, Social Studies, etc.). I passed them all on the first try. I have worked as a Student Teacher in 3rd grade classroom for the Fall 2018 semester and have taught all the subjects included in 3rd grade curriculum. I love teaching Elementary Math because the way schools teach math now is so different from when I was a child. Schools are now implementing the use of manipulatives (like objects such as small bears, or fraction tiles), drawings, and other creative means to teach the conceptual concepts behind math. I l also have a background and a Bachelor's in Fine Arts so I really enjoy teaching math this way.
I also love to teach reading and writing as well as speaking and communication skills.
In my free time I love to cook and try new recipes, paint and draw, and write letters.
