Currently, I work on a government project with the Department of Homeland Security while serving as a software consultant with Excella in Washington, DC.

My academic journey began in Engineering before I transitioned to Computer Science in 1997. I earned both undergraduate and graduate degrees in Computer Science and Information Systems from UNC Wilmington, providing me with a strong theoretical foundation that complements my practical experience.
Throughout my career, I've maintained a dual focus on industry work and education. I served as Interim Department Chair at Miller-Motte College and have taught at the university level for over 15 years, both full-time and part-time. This unique combination of roles has given me deep insight into both the academic challenges students face and the real-world skills employers value.
