I am a student at University of South Florida St. Petersburg graduating May 2020 with my Bachelor of Science in Biology. I have tutored math for many years, most notably during my semester at Florida Atlantic University where I was voted best Intermediate College Algebra Tutor by students, and during my two years with Mathnasium where I worked as a Lead Instructor and was awarded March 2019 Instructor of the Month. I am immensely passionate about science and math, and even more so about education. I love to teach, not only to help students excel in school, but to truly be able to communicate the ideas that really matter. To me, educating students is more than just enhancing work ethic and improving grades; educating students is teaching rationalization, critical thinking, and true understanding so that students will be able to move forward, remembering what they have learned, and finding the patterns in what they will continue to learn, on their own. I strongly believe the majority of the world's lasting issues can be solved through education, and that education matters the most in our youth. Personally, I have the ability to tutor math concepts from Elementary Arithmetic to College-level Calculus, as well as science concepts ranging from all biology and marine concepts to most genetics and chemistry concepts; however, I am most passionate about science, particularly environmental science.
