I have been incredibly lucky enough to have been taught by some truly inspirational teachers who serve more as mentors. While noticing the effect they had on the development of my life, changed me. My own passion for working with children extends from my desire to emulate the teachings of the role models and perform the same inspirational function in the lives of my students.

I have always enjoyed being around children and have augmented my interests in teaching with as much work experience. As a Teacher's Aide, I have worked with Elementary school students. While doing so I was able to help prepare activities and lessons and helping the teacher to implement them. With that being said, preparation, planning, and communication are essential skills that every teacher must develop.

Throughout the course of 2 years, I was able to be a camp counselor for 2 weeks at a sleepaway camp. While I was a counselor there, I got to work on developing my communication skills as well as my ability to work on diverse ways of showing emotional support for children. Truthfully adapting what it means to be a human.

By fostering good relationships with staff, pupils and parents it is possible to provide a thought-provoking educational experience that compliments the child's life outside of academics as much as possible.
I have also found that as a lacrosse coach at Central Park Sports allowed me to gain experience with the challenges and rewards of working with young children. Not only did this experience give me the practical skills involved but it allowed me to understand the emotional issues as well. This gave me the proper experience in early childcare alongside the proper resources to become an influence in a child's life. Ultimately, it became apart of my teaching philosophy.
