With over ten years of teaching experience, I seek to engage my students through participation, play, and exciting challenges in an effort to instill a love of music and a desire to learn.
I am a graduate of the Manhattan School of Music, with a B.M. in classical guitar performance, and a certified level 1 Orff-Schulwerk teacher. Additionally, I am currently finishing up my dissertation for a master's degree in musicology.
Although well versed in a multitude of techniques, I primarily draw influence from the Abel Carlevaro, Aaron Shearer, and Suzuki methods. These, along with my recent Orff training, are the core of my approach in both private and group settings. I am experienced in teaching (and look forward to meeting!) students of all ages and abilities.
Undergraduate Degree: Manhattan School of Music - Associate in Arts, Music Performance
Graduate Degree: Kings College London - Master of Arts, Musicology and Ethnomusicology
In addition playing the guitar, I am currently finishing up my masters dissertation. Otherwise, I enjoy tennis, swimming, and playing with my many pets!
