Current MA student at Washington University in St. Louis. Previously: Elon University (BA in English, 2013), University of Florida (Juris Doctor, 2016).
After practicing as an attorney for roughly a year-and-a-half after graduating law school, I realized that my true passion was for teaching, and am now back in school to pursue it as a career. I tutor a wide variety of subjects, most of which fall into one of three broad categories: writing, English, and test preparation. I profoundly enjoy tutoring in all of these categories, but as an English major, admit to something of a soft spot for that subject.
My goal as a tutor is to put my students in good position to make sustainable, long-term improvements in whatever subject we're working on. Communication and collaboration are key for me; I'm a firm believer that tutoring is most effective when both parties know exactly what they're doing, and why they're doing it.
Outside of tutoring, I enjoy exercising, creative writing, and overly competitive board gaming.
