I tutor math at the middle school to college level, and physics at the high school and college levels. I got a B.S. in Math from the University of Texas at Austin.
I've been tutoring since my time at college where I worked as a teaching assistant for math and physics classes, mostly for calculus classes. After college I started tutoring middle and high school kids in math.
I really like tutoring college level calculus and physics, because instead of immediately knowing the answer at first glance, I instead feel like the student and I are mutually working on the problem together. Of course, my experience with using and teaching the subject means I'll know how to get both of us to where we're going though.
I follow the Socratic teaching method. I strongly believe you learn a lot more when you reach an answer yourself as opposed to when you're just given an answer. This is especially true with math, because if I ask you the right questions to solve this problem, you'll know what the questions you'll need to be asking yourself are for the next problem you encounter.
