I began my career as an educator three years ago in Champaign Illinois. I was an assistant to an amazing kindergarten teacher, and together we made the school year one to remember. I saw growth in a way I had never seen it before, and as a result a fiery passion for teaching was birthed inside me.
I'm the type of individual who thrives on grit. So in my world of teaching, there is no such thing as "giving up" we will try and try and try again until we improve; and then continue to move forward. My mission is to serve my students, and you will see that in my consistent, fun, and persistent style of tutoring.
When I'm not working in education, I am writing, playing music with my band mates, and working at my church. I am also working on my master's in special education at Fontbonne University.
One of my greatest desires is to be a positive influence to my peers and those who look up to me as a role model. Tutoring provides a greater reach in fulfilling that desire, therefore I am honored and blessed to work with any student who is requesting my services.
