I am a High School Math Teacher with an extensive math background and passion to see students reach their full potential. Currently I am a Pre-Caclulus teacher, but have over five years of experience teaching, and tutoring, all high school math courses and even some college courses.
I obtained a Bachelors and Masters in Math from the University of North Florida and worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant during my time in Grad School. While in Grad School I gained experience in tutoring students in College Algebra, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, and Statistics. Since graduating, I have taught Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, and Pre-Calculus in Nashville, TN.
In my five years of teaching, I have found a great passion for teaching math. I absolutely love being able to interact with students on a daily basis and the challenge of leading them to an understanding of math concepts. I have experience teaching students with various personalities and abilities, and have enjoyed seeing each of them achieve at high levels and maximize their potential.
As a teacher my goal is for my students to have a conceptual understating of the content at hand. Through my years of teaching experience and extensive math background, I have the skills and resources to lead students to such an understanding, regardless of their ability or background.
Outside of teaching I'm a huge sports nerd. I know an unhealthy amount of sports trivia and love playing just about any sport that isn't associated with cold weather.
