Hi! My name is SriLasya, and I am very excited to be a Varsity Tutor. I graduated high school with an IB Diploma and I am currently an undergraduate student at the University of Illinois at Chicago. At the moment, I am a Sociology and Integrated Health Sciences Double Major, with a pre-Medical focus. I am a very patient and positive person, and I incorporate that into my teaching method.

Q & A

What is your teaching philosophy?

My teaching philosophy is to always keep pushing. Anybody who has interest in learning and improving is worth it.

What might you do in a typical first session with a student?

In a first session, I think it is important to get an understanding of the student's learning process and progress.

What strategies have you found to be most successful when you start to work with a student?

Familiarizing myself with the student's personality has proven to make it easier to connect with the student, which provides a better and more comfortable learning environment.
