What is your teaching philosophy?

When a student has difficulty learning a new skill or concept, this can denote that there is a lack of prerequisite knowledge or that the concept was not modeled effectively enough for the student to understand. In either case, as the teacher, I would provide the prerequisite knowledge, model the expected outcomes and guide the student through practice until mastery is ascertained.
