I hold a Bachelors of Science in Biology and have worked as a tutor for over four years and have tutored students ranging from Elementary to College. I have tutored in many areas from Algebra to Reading Comprehension. My degree helps in my tutoring abilities as it allows me to utilize all my skills in the areas of Math, Science and English all at once. I help students in classes by helping them to utilize their knowledge through practice problems which I create to help them increase their comprehension within areas such as math.

I recently obtained my master's degree in American Studies and Education. These degrees have helped me to think critically about history and current events. I am excited to help students connect their classroom information with the world that they live in now. I love helping students learn how to express themselves through writing and speech, and I am most passionate about guiding students to engage with their classes in ways that make them successful.

As an NYU graduate student earning my M.P.A., my passion is in helping students embrace the ability to understand the material at hand well enough to teach the material to others. I am currently a Junior student-athlete double majoring in Mathematics & Physics at Southern Nazarene University (Oklahoma City, OK). However, my family lives in the Fort Worth area, so I will frequent the DFW metroplex.I currently hold a position as an undergraduate mathematics tutor in our University's mathematics department.I specialize in the following areas:Introductory Mathematics (Algebra, Geometry, Trig, etc.), Statistics, Statistical Modeling, Probability, Calculus (1, 2, 3), Introductory Physics, Complex Analysis, and Introductory Computer Science (Python Language).Math and Physics are difficult areas to grasp, so don't be afraid to ask for help!

I graduated from the University of Virginia with degrees in Mathematics, with a finance concentration, and Economics, with a focus on public policy. I I would be lying if I said that I knew what I want to be when I grow up. I can say with certainty, however, that I love to teach, which is what I've done since graduation as a coach and teacher at The Gilman School. As the oldest of five boys I've spent my life practicing the arts of patient mediation and instruction. I am also a huge nerd and the greatest thrill of any nerd is sharing what they love with others. I happen to love math, and science, and writing, and history... And I really enjoy sharing these subjects with others. I am currently a middle and high school math teacher who excels in working patiently with students and in one-on-one tutoring arrangements. I worked as an economics tutor throughout college as well as a middle school math and science tutor. I also co-designed and led a class. When I reflect on my college involvements, these were the most rewarding and enjoyable. I am excited by the opportunity to continue to instruct though the platform that varsity tutors offers. In my spare time I love playing sports, my favorites are football and basketball, as well as reading.

I have always been strongly passionate about math so during my academic years, I tutored college and high school students a range of math courses and also served as a Teaching Assistant for a course in Calculus. I am currently an instructor at Mathnasium where I assist students develop competence in subjects they find challenging. I have always enjoyed teaching as I get to meet people from differing backgrounds. I believe acquiring the best education is everybody's right, and in order to make it easier for struggling candidates, I teach my students the basics that are required to master challenging concepts.
