What is your teaching philosophy?

My background in teaching comes from my various experiences volunteering in the public schools as well as my experience as a graduate speech-language clinician. My philosophy is strongly based on meeting the student where they are, providing them with the necessary support to achieve success, and subsequently removing these supports to facilitate independence. I also strive to make lessons as functional as possible.
