What is your teaching philosophy?

I firmly believe that learning is, and should be, fun. I try to spice my tutoring with trivia, fun facts, and anecdotes from history. Most people don't realize that history can be hilarious!

What might you do in a typical first session with a student?

I would try to get to know them as a person. I would ask questions about their goals, learning styles, and what they would need as a tutor. After preliminary questions, we would begin!

How can you help a student become an independent learner?

I would allow students to take ownership of the lesson by having them do independent research themselves.
