I believe that learning should be three things: fun, enriching, and accessible to everyone! I'm a certified teacher who currently teaches 7th grade World History and 8th grade U.S. History and I enjoy every minute of it! I want to share my passion for this subject and to help students see the relevancy and repetition of history.

Q & A
What is your teaching philosophy?
I firmly believe that learning is, and should be, fun. I try to spice my tutoring with trivia, fun facts, and anecdotes from history. Most people don't realize that history can be hilarious!
What might you do in a typical first session with a student?
I would try to get to know them as a person. I would ask questions about their goals, learning styles, and what they would need as a tutor. After preliminary questions, we would begin!
How can you help a student become an independent learner?
I would allow students to take ownership of the lesson by having them do independent research themselves.
