Teaching has been my passion from an early age. I have always enjoyed assisting students in their learning and their development of critical thinking skills. My education has been primarily focused on education and two specific content areas. I have a bachelor's degree from Hiram College in English and History. I also obtained a master's degree in Educational Studies with a minor in History from the University of Michigan and a master's degree in English from Cleveland State University. Along with my educational degrees, I am certified to teach 7-12 English and History. I have enjoyed a varied career in education working as an adjunct professor, substitute teacher, and tutor. I have worked with a diverse group of students from k-12 and adult learners as well as students with special needs and ESL students. Tutoring has been the highlight of my career. I see students improved most rapidly when given individualized attention and lessons. I thoroughly enjoy working one-on-one with students to both strength their understanding of a concept and improve areas of weakness.
