What is your teaching philosophy?
I am not the ship, I am just the captain. The captain, who will take it from point "A" to point "B". Via tutoring, I will show you and guide you in the right direction to understand and use concepts in unimaginable ways.
What techniques would you use to be sure that a student understands the material?
I will review "SWEAR": "State" the Problem, "Write" The Problem, "Explain" The Problem, "Apply" The Problem, "Repeat" this Method every time.
How do you build a student's confidence in a subject?
I will build students' confidence by doing lesson planning. Lesson planning includes deliberate structure and pacing of the subject materials by making student focused, having goal orientation with thoughtful sourcing of the contents.
How do you evaluate a student's needs?
Using various evaluation tools and techniques learned throughout my experience in tutoring and educational background in Mathematics.
What types of materials do you typically use during a tutoring session?
Making personal notes according to student's need. Requirement according to the syllabus of subject. Online research and notes.
How would you help a student stay motivated?
Using creative ways to engage the students to want to enjoy the learning process.
If a student has difficulty learning a skill or concept, what would you do?
I will find the student's strength and weakness. I will ask what difficulties or problem that student is having. I will also try to explain in different ways until the student understands.
How do you help students who are struggling with reading comprehension?
If it’s related to the subject, I will explain the way I know it.
What strategies have you found to be most successful when you start to work with a student?
My strategies will be lesson planned at the optimum level. Making students engaged in the learning process, keeping the student focused on learning and understanding the subject material.

Making a student understand the subject by giving a real-life example and its application.
How can you help a student become an independent learner?
By boosting confidence and motivating a student to believe in themselves. Making them do all the heavy work and actively engaged on the learning process.
What might you do in a typical first session with a student?
I will build rapport building by: -breaking the ice -discovering a student’s goals -finding something to relate concepts to assess what does the student already know on a scale 1-10. What are the student's strength and weakness? How will you adapt to fit this student?
