After graduating from Colorado College in 2014 with a degree in Molecular Biology, I have been in the process of applying to medical school with the hopes of starting in fall 2015. My experiences in tutoring have primarily been teaching classmates and teammates in subjects I had taken previously. These topics have ranged from algebra, to English literature, to cell biology. However, I have decided to focus my tutoring attention solely towards PSAT/SAT/ACT prep. Getting into your dream school is a tough task. Helping students achieve their goals is the reason I have gotten into tutoring and I firmly believe I have the ability to make a difference.
I have always been a laid back, patient person and my time working at a medical clinic has helped me develop the capacity to effectively communicate complex information to others. I believe these characteristics will help me tailor lessons specifically for each student, and teach them in the way that they learn best. On top of the subject matter, I will also work towards developing test taking skills specifically designed for the college entrance exams. Having a clear cut strategy on how to take the ACT/SAT will allow students to have as much success as possible success on test day. I look forward to working with you.
