I graduated from William Paterson University in Wayne, NJ in May 2007 with my B.A. in Mathematics and my Secondary Education Teaching Certificate. Over the past eight years, I have taught Grades 6-12 in NJ public schools. I have extensive tutoring experience for over 10 years in all areas of mathematics, including Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, Trigonometry, & Pre-Calculus. In my spare time, I enjoy bowling, piano-playing, skiing, hiking, traveling, and learning to cook. I truly enjoy teaching and tutoring mathematics, so it is much more than a job to me. To watch someone learn is an amazing opportunity to witness the beauty and power of the human mind. As a teacher and tutor, I am responsible for bringing about genuine interest and appreciation of the educational material being disseminated. Remaining sincerely enthusiastic about mathematics along with demonstrating patience and caring ensures my students' willingness and desire to be educated. Each and every one of my students is given personal attention and dedication while providing clear structure and direction to guide their learning. By investigation, trial and error, and other student-based activities, students will discover the truth, logic, and joy of mathematics rather than be taught mathematics.
