I graduated from the University of Texas at Dallas with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. Tutoring has always been a passion. In high school and in college, I have tutored my friends in various subjects. This year, I have tutored high school students from algebra all the way to AB Calculus. My most rewarding experience is to see a struggling person succeed. Currently, with Varsity Tutors, I am teaching 9th grade math to Calculus 1. In the sciences, I am helping students in chemistry, honors chemistry, general chemistry, physical sciences, physics, and AP Physics 2: Mechanics. I like to tutor calculus the most because I find it interesting that we work with variables that are changing. With hard work and dedication, I believe anyone can succeed. I generally use a step-by-step approach with students to simplify difficult concepts. From my experience, I find it easier to understand why we use certain formulas instead of memorizing them. In calculus especially, I like to explain the real life applications to make the concepts more interesting. I am a firm believer that knowledge is power. In my spare time, I like to read, watch movies and eat out with friends, and listen to music.
