I graduated from MIT and UC Berkeley, studying architecture and civil engineering. I currently live in Fountain Valley, CA area, grew up in Vietnam and have traveled extensively around the world. I am always curious about different cultures, societies, and their people. I want to understand the world we live in and keep updated about what's currently going on around us.
I have been a tutor, a mentor, or a teaching assistant to many students, from elementary school to college. I always enjoy being a mentor in order to assist children not only to do well in school but also to be a good person for his/her community. I want to give my students as much information and guidance as I can so they can go as far as they possibly can. Students today need to be more rounded and proactive than ever in order to get the best education possible. And that requires lots of preparation.
I love Math because, to me, it's like another language. I got that love from a high school teacher and would like to pass on that love to the next generation. My approach to teaching Math is to help students relate Math to their daily activities and thus the students won't be so intimidated by the subject. Other subjects that I enjoy tutoring are science, physics, and chemistry. I'd love to help students understand how things work around us.
Whenever I can, I would try to be outdoors running, playing tennis, golf or skiing. I can sketch and paint pretty well. Reading a book is also another favorite past time.
