I received my Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from Dartmouth College and am currently working on my Masters of Science in Applied Math with a focus in Statistics at Northeastern University (completion in December, 2014). I have worked for many years as a tutor and teacher, starting when the chair of my high school's math department recommended me to a number of families during my junior year of high school. I tutored for two years in High School, then worked all four years of college as a tutor, study group leader and teaching assistant. My professional life was also in the field of education until I left to start my Masters in the fall of 2012. When a student realizes that they truly understand a concept (not just how to do it, but WHY it's done that way) is the greatest moment for a tutor and I consider myself lucky that I can continue to tutor while working on my degree. My favorite subject to tutor is Statistics, although I'm available for other subjects as well. In addition to tutoring, I enjoy cooking, hiking, camping, biking, reading, doing crossword puzzles, and playing and watching soccer.
