I am a graduate of Western Washington University with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics. In high school, I spent two years tutoring math subjects ranging from Algebra to Calculus. I added two more years in college tutoring the same subjects, along with Physics and Statistics. At both locations I worked in a tutoring center, so I have experience working with many different students with many different learning styles. As a tutor at Western, I was awarded Level 1 Certification by the College Reading and Learning Association. My favorite subjects to tutor are Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, and Physics, as I feel that they offer the student the best opportunity to witness real life applications of Mathematics. As a tutor, it is my goal to keep students engaged in learning. As such, instead of simply answering the questions that are posed to the student, I ask deeper questions and lead them to a fuller understanding of the core concepts. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, playing video games, and watching the Seahawks.
