As Academic Chair of my fraternity, I held informal tutoring sessions for younger pre-med students for eight total hours per week. In small study groups I answered questions on biology, general chemistry, organic chemistry, and physics, often employing diagrams and visual aids in my teaching. In addition, since high school, I have always been someone that friends entrust to look over and critique their papers before they submit final drafts. My teaching style features visual learning, mnemonics, and hierarchical organization of material. I find that hierarchically cataloguing information by topic and sub-topic helps students retain material, as students are not simply memorizing, but are understanding how concepts relate to one another. More personally, my hobbies include tennis, movies, and travel. I also love trivia and 90's music.
