Varsity Tutors can set you up with an online Miami Praxis prep course. If you are earning your degree and/or teaching license from a school like the University of Miami or Miami Dade College, you may want to consider taking our class to help prepare you for the Praxis test. The Praxis is a test commonly used by numerous states to assess whether an individual is prepared to receive their teaching certificate. An individual will be tested on the subject areas they would like to focus on teaching during their career.
The Praxis family of tests is comprised of the Praxis Core (which focuses on reading, writing, and mathematics) and the subject-specific Praxis which differs depending on what levels and subjects you want to teach moving forward. Our Miami Praxis course is designed to help students prepare and study for whichever Praxis test they are taking. The online prep classes are taught by professional instructors. Students have the choice between a two-week or a four-week course. These classes are hosted in a state-of-the-art virtual classroom.
What can I expect from a Miami Praxis class?
The expert instructor will be able to give helpful study strategies, test-taking tips, and may cover some of the potential content found of the tests in the class. You will be joined in the virtual room by other students. The other students, the instructor, and you will be able to communicate with each other through a microphone and webcam. This provides you the opportunity to learn from your classmates' questions as well. The Miami Praxis course also provides students with a virtual whiteboard. This allows everyone to see the instructors notes and offers an avenue of visual learning for those who prefer it. You and your classmates may also get the opportunity to work through practice problems together. For instance, maybe you will work on Praxis Core material by suggesting improvements to each other's problem-solving strategies for the mathematics portion. You may also have the ability to reach out to your instructor if you feel you are struggling with a certain type of question or area of content. This is just one of the many ways Varsity Tutors can help students feel prepared for their tests.
What benefits will I gain from a Miami Praxis course?
The expert instructors can help with test-taking strategies that may increase your comfort while taking the Praxis. You may learn about how to write essay questions more precisely by learning to avoid run-on sentences. You may also learn how to manage your time during the test effectively by picking up on keywords to get through the material quicker. The strategies that students find most helpful vary widely and are dependent on the student's learning habits. Some students find that the accessibility of the Miami Praxis class is the most beneficial part of the class. At Varsity Tutors we understand that students have very busy schedules comprised of classes, jobs, and student teaching. For this reason, we offer our test prep classes exclusively online. This allows you to pick the location and time that works best for you. Classmates connect virtually and just need an internet connection to participate in class. You may attend the class from the University of Miami library or at a quiet spot at the beach. There are also multiple times during you may be able to choose from too, like during the lunch hour, or late at night.
How can I sign up for a Miami Praxis class?
Getting started with our Praxis prep class is easy! We offer a rolling admissions structure. This means we have new classes starting at the beginning of each month. This allows flexibility around when you prepare for the Praxis test. As mentioned previously, we offer two class lengths. You can choose the one you feel will be best for your schedule and preparedness level. With the structured online learning environment, ample time will be spent on strategies and conquering the content your Praxis test will cover. This allows students to get daily time with test prep rather than a few all-nighters the week before it. If you are interested in working together with an instructor and other students online to prepare for the Praxis, please give Varsity Tutors a call today! Giving us a call will connect you with an educational consultant who is ready to help you pick the time and the duration of the Miami Praxis course that works best for you. We look forward to hearing from you!
