Hi, I'm Leah! I graduated Summa Cum Laude from Binghamton University with B.S in Biological Sciences and B.A. in Spanish Language and Literature degrees. I am currently pursuing a Master's of Arts in Spanish at Binghamton University and expect to graduate in May 2026.
I'm new to Varsity Tutors, but I have tutored students one-on-one and in small group settings for the past 4 years. I specialize in SAT/ACT prep, Spanish, and Biology tutoring, as well as college application consultations. My goal is to help students improve their SAT/ACT scores, develop confidence in their Spanish-speaking skills, and understand key biological concepts.
I strive to make tutoring sessions enjoyable, engaging, and comprehensible. I am patient, very receptive to questions, and ensure that my students understand the content before moving on in the lesson. I utilize lesson plans, integrate practice problems into my lessons, and tailor my lessons according to each student's learning style and preferences. For college application assistance, I help with creating college lists, essay writing/editing, resume building, and more.
