I'm a passionate tutor with a Bachelor's in Creative Writing from Boise State University. While earning my degree, I garnered experience providing feedback to my peers in a workshop setting. I also have over three years of experience working at the Boise State Writing Center, where I've honed my skills in one-on-one support for college and high school writing. My approach centers on fostering autonomy in my students, encouraging them to understand the "why" behind my feedback. I believe that effective writing is not just about correcting mistakes but about nurturing better writers. I enjoy engaging students in discussions about literature, helping them connect with texts on a deeper level. My ultimate goal is to ignite a passion for writing and storytelling in my students while ensuring they feel accomplished and confident in their abilities. Outside of tutoring, I enjoy exploring the medium of story through video games as well as sewing together gifts for friends.
