I am a high school graduate and a senior at Bard College studying the written arts. I have years of experience tutoring children from ages 6 to 14, assisting with homework help in all areas and creating my own lesson plans in reading, English, essay writing, and creative writing. I am passionate about creating engaging lesson plans for my students, and tailoring those plans to fit the individual student's needs and learning styles. I believe that developing a love of literature makes a student better equipped to understand and navigate the world around them. I also believe that confidence in their writing ability gives a student skills that will prepare them for the rest of their lives. I have experience working with students on the autism spectrum, and I believe that every student learns in their own way and a good tutor will adapt to make the learning experience as exciting and pleasurable as possible.
