Helping students grow in confidence and academic skill is one of the most rewarding aspects of education, and it's what drives my passion for tutoring. I believe that every student can succeed with the right guidance, encouragement, and strategies tailored to their unique learning style.

My experience spans over seven years in public education, where I've taught elementary and middle school students in both general education and bilingual settings. I've worked with a diverse range of learners, including English language learners and students requiring individualized support. This has equipped me with the tools to adapt instruction and meet students where they are academically and emotionally.

I earned a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies from Sam Houston State University, with a minor in Mathematics for grades 48. I am a certified Texas educator in Core Subjects (EC6), Mathematics (48), ESL Supplemental (EC8), and Bilingual Education Spanish (EC8). These certifications allow me to provide comprehensive support in core content areas, especially math, reading, and language development.

Math is one of my favorite subjects to tutor because it often transforms from a source of frustration into a point of pride for many students. I enjoy helping learners build strong mathematical foundations and problem-solving skills that serve them across all subjects.

My teaching philosophy centers on patience, encouragement, and structure. I strive to create a supportive, judgment-free environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes, asking questions, and celebrating progress. I use data-informed strategies to tailor lessons to individual needs, while keeping sessions engaging and interactive.
