I earned my B.S. in Microbiology and Cell Science at the University of Florida. While at UF I worked in a research laboratory identifying genes involved in the biosynthesis of flavor volatiles in strawberry. I've been tutoring on and off for the past 6 years and have an expertise in molecular genetics, biology, chemistry, algebra, geometry, and trigonometry.While earning my A.S. I was captain of the Santa Fe College brain bowl team -- a competitive collegiate quiz tournament.

I'm currently a working professional that enjoys building new relationships. I've been a Teaching Assistant at the high school, college, and graduate school levels for various math and science courses. Additionally, I've been a private tutor for friends and family prior to joining VT. My main goal is to make sure my sessions are interactive so that my students learn the material while having fun.

I received my MBA graduate degree from Georgetown University and my Electrical Engineering Bachelors degree from San Diego State University. I worked for Sony Electronics for over a decade as a Senior Electrical Design Engineer, leading hardware designs of newly introduced features of Sony's High-Definition televisions. I have also managed a privately-owned business.I have always been passionate about tutoring. For example, I tutored math, calculus and physics in college, and I volunteered in educating seniors in computer skills. I especially enjoy tutoring students who are interested in learning the subject themselves. Whether they are good at it is irrelevant as I will work very hard to ensure they have the right foundation to be confident and enthusiastic about the topic at hand.In my spare time, I enjoy reading, traveling, biking and playing the piano.
