My name is Kasey Tomlin, and I hold a Master's degree in Elementary Education. I am licensed in the state of Virginia to teach PreK through 6th grade, as well as Business and Information Technology. My passion for teaching stems from a deeply personal place. Throughout my own educational journey, there were moments when I struggled times when I felt uncertain or discouraged. But I was fortunate to have that one teacher who believed in me, motivated me, and helped me see my potential. That experience left a lasting impact, and it's what inspired me to become an educator.

Teaching is more than a profession to me it's a calling. Every student deserves to have someone in their corner, someone who believes in them and encourages them to dream big. My goal as a teacher is to be that person. I strive to create a supportive, engaging learning environment where students feel seen, heard, and empowered. I want to inspire and motivate young minds to pursue their passions and believe in their ability to achieve anything they set out to do. In doing so, I hope to pay forward the gift that once changed my own life.

Hobbies

Family Spending time with my family is one of my greatest joys. They keep me grounded and constantly remind me of the importance of support, love, and connection. That sense of community and encouragement is something I strive to create for my students as well. Video Games I enjoy playing video games in my free time, not only as a form of relaxation but also because they challenge my problem-solving skills and encourage strategic thinking. Many games require collaboration, patience, and perseverance—qualities I find valuable both in life and in the classroom. Koalas I’ve always had a soft spot for koalas—they represent calmness, curiosity, and uniqueness to me. My interest in animals, especially koalas, reflects my appreciation for nature and the importance of empathy and care, values I bring into my work with students.
