I am currently pursuing a degree in Computational Neuroscience at the University of Southern California, where I also minor in Jazz Studies. I received the Presidential Scholarship from USC and am a part of the Freshman Science Honors program currently. Over the past few years, I have gained extensive experience working with students in a variety of settings, including online tutoring platforms and youth leadership programs. I have tutored through Schoolhouse.world and StepUp Tutoring, as well as served as a leadership counselor for the National Youth Leadership Training program and Badger Boys State, where I mentored students from diverse backgrounds.

Tutoring students is an incredibly rewarding experience for both the tutor and tutee, as one gets to improve their craft while the other is introduced to crucially transformative knowledge for the first time. I personally strive to help my tutees feel comfortable in their sessions, as education should be empowering, not intimidating. I will often try to crack jokes, make silly comments, or try to get others to smile to try to lighten the often stressful task of understanding difficult concepts. I tutor Math, English, and most specifically the ACT for all students K-12. I enjoy tutoring math because it develops critical thinking and problem-solving skills, and I love English for its ability to help students express themselves with clarity and creativity. I tutor for the ACT to share the plethora of special skills and strategies I have learned over the years, which maximize time, minimize mental load, and maximize growth.

My teaching philosophy centers around creating a welcoming environment where students feel safe to ask questions and learn at their own pace. I believe that patience, encouragement, and breaking down complex ideas into relatable examples are key to fostering understanding.

Whether it's football, music, or cars, I always enjoy connecting with others over shared passions and conversations.
