Hello! I am a former third grade teacher who has taught all subjects and all elementary grades at some point in my higher education. I have two years of general education experience and one year of experience in tutoring reading online.

I graduated from Wartburg College in 2023 with a Bachelors in Elementary Education with Endorsements in Reading and Early Childhood. I have worked with students who need extended learning, have learning disabilities, and children with autism.

I teach because all children deserve to have a great education and a multitude of resources to help them succeed in school, build confidence, and be helpful members of their community.

I love to have fun while I teach, and be personable! I may crack a joke here and there too. Learning and school is supposed to be fun and engaging. I want my future tutoring students to look forward to our sessions together.

My teaching style is a hybrid of facilitating discussions and open ended questions for students to build upon and demonstrating necessary phonics, writing, or fluency skills. I teach a student centered approach to teaching, and I will meet a student at the academic level they are, and together we will come up with a goal of progression to where they want to be.
