I'm passionate about helping students because I enjoy seeing people grow and develop mastery over challenging subjects. One-on-one tutoring is especially rewarding to me because it allows for deeper understanding, tailored support, and real academic growth.

I'm a licensed social studies teacher in Wisconsin and have worked with students in a variety of settings from short-term and long-term substitute roles to full-time teaching in middle and high school classrooms. I've taught 8th Grade U.S. History, World History, and Economics. My experience includes working with diverse learners, including students who are English language learners, hard of hearing, or legally blind. I've adapted lesson plans to meet a range of individual needs, always working to ensure that every student is supported and included.

I earned my bachelor's degree in Political Science from the University of WisconsinGreen Bay, with minors in History and Education. I currently hold two teaching licenses from the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction, and I'm pursuing a Master of Science in Demography at Florida State University, where I'm completing my thesis.

I enjoy tutoring a wide range of students from middle school through college and adult learners in subjects such as social studies, economics, research methods, and data analysis. I also have experience using Stata, advanced Excel, and ArcGIS Pro.

My teaching philosophy centers on meeting students where they are and creating space for real, lasting understanding. I believe learning is not a race, but a process that should emphasize depth over memorization. I take a "learning by doing" approach, using scaffolding and hands-on methods to help students build knowledge step-by-step and retain it for the long term.

Outside of tutoring, I enjoy outdoor activities like hiking, camping, and winter sports. I also enjoy spending time with friends playing frisbee golf in the summer, raising African milk trees, beekeeping, and cheering on the Green Bay Packers.
