I specialize in reading, and foundational literacy skills. Literacy is my favorite subject to tutor because it's the gateway to all other learning. When students gain confidence in reading, they start to engage more fully in every subject area. Helping kids unlock that ability feels like opening the door to their future.

I've had the privilege of working with K5 students in a variety of settings, including classroom support roles, one-on-one tutoring, and after-school programs. Each experience has deepened my understanding of how children learn and reminded me of the importance of patience, encouragement, and flexibility in teaching.

My teaching philosophy centers around meeting students where they are and helping them grow at their own pace. I believe in creating a positive, supportive environment where students feel safe to take risks, ask questions, and be themselves. My tutoring style is encouraging, interactive, and tailored to each child's individual learning styleI like to incorporate games, stories, and creative exercises to keep sessions both effective and fun.

I've always been passionate about helping students because I believe in the power of education to transform livesespecially in the early years, when foundational skills and confidence are just beginning to form. There's something incredibly rewarding about seeing a child's eyes light up when they sound out a word for the first time or finally understand a story they've been working hard to read. Those moments are why I do this work.

I earned my Bachelor's degree in Spanish from Texas A&M International University, where I focused on Spanish and Translation. I am currently pursuing my teaching certification with the goal of continuing to support young learners in more impactful ways.

Outside of tutoring, I enjoy reading Spanish literature, crafts, music, and cooking. I find that staying curious and creative in my own life helps me bring fresh energy and ideas into my sessions with students.
