I am an experienced tutor in biology and chemistry. I am passionate about helping students because education is a powerful tool that cannot be taken away. As I work with you, I always ensure the concepts and vocabulary are clear. My tutoring style sometimes consists of working through practice problems together. I try to find games and other activities when helpful. At times, I encourage students to utilize free, trustworthy sources to help explain complicated concepts. This leaves room for every learning style, whether you prefer video, picture, text, or lecture.
A little bit about me, I graduated from East Carolina University with a major in Biology and a minor in Coastal Studies. My favorite subject in school was biology because it forces you to see the world from a different perspective, eventually forming a new appreciation for nature. I believe a large part of learning requires a passionate heart and a positive attitude to absorb and retain information. I look forward to working with you!
