I'm a high school graduate of Fishers High School, however, I'm currently a junior at Ball State University. I'm working towards my Bachelor of Science in Psychological Science with a focus on counseling. Since I began my college journey, I have worked in job positions that allowed me to either provide babysitting services through a Facebook group known as "Hamilton County + Greater Indy Nanny & Sitter Network - Indiana", supervising and entertaining school-aged children as a summer camp counselor for Noblesville Parks & Recreation, and/or tutoring college students who need help with their mathematics or psychology classes for the Ball State University Learning Center.
Up to now, I've tutored students in Quantitative Reasoning, Pre-Calculus: Algebra, Statistics, and Intro to Psychological Science. Even though I currently tutor mathematics and psychology courses, I would say that my favorite subject to tutor is anything mathematics-related particularly because I'm fascinated with the courses that constantly utilize the fundamentals of Algebra (multiplication, division, exponential equations, etc.). In my experience supporting students struggling with their class assignments, my passion for helping other students grow and succeed academically comes from my own personal experience with facing academic challenges. The moment I got the support I needed with my school work, I felt more confident and capable of doing the work with little to no assistance, and now I genuinely want to provide other students with that same feeling of accomplishment and confidence. Overall, I strongly believe that a quality education will eventually lead to making better decisions in other areas of our lives, and so I work towards instilling confidence into my clients so they know they are more than capable of doing extraordinary things than they are given credit for. In my free time, I enjoy traveling with my significant other, exercising which helps bring more enlightenment into my day, baking sweets for others, nature walks, and dancing.
