About Me

I have over twenty years of experience as an educator in both the online and face-to-face setting. I possess a strong passion for teacher by and a deep commitment for fostering a stimulating learning environment, especially for students classified under the Exceptional Student Education umbrella (ESE/SPED) in grade levels K - 8. I currently provide push-in support, small group instructional support in grades K-3 in ELA, Writing, and Math. Twenty hours of my weekly schedule is dedicated to grade 2 ELA comprehension and exposing students to grade 3 comprehension skills. Likewise, the Florida Department of Education recognizes me as a "Turn-Around" instructional leader. I have a proven tack record of increasing ELA student achievement in grades 5-9 in both ELA Proficiency, Learning Gains and Bottom Quartile Learning Gains. I have had the privilege of working with diverse student populations with a variety of exceptionalities. I am confident in my ability to effectively communicate concepts, engage student learners in critical thinking and facilitate their personal and intellectual growth. My academic background aligns perfectly with the expectations of Varsity Tutoring. I have completed numerous professional development courses to stay updated on the latest teaching methodologies and innovations. This continuous pursuit of knowledge has enabled me to create dynamic and inclusive learning experiences for students who struggle academically.
